Lost and Found
Stuff to locate:
- 5mm bamboo dpns
- 10mm denise tips
- the remaining ball of RYC Cashsoft DK (Colourway 505)
- my calculator
- Emma's address
- driving licence (test on Wednesday eeek!)
- 4mm circ (I think it's pointier than my dpns) - not pointier, unfortunately. Have ordered a harmony circ from getknitted.com
- The Children of Hurin by J.R.R.Tolkien
- Rogue. It's cold and I want to wear it.
- jelly babies; I know I've got some somewhere

Or I could just tidy my room :o)

I sent off my swap package this morning. Amanda should have it within a week or so. I'm holding out no hopes for the post office. On that topic, my (second) copy of the Complete Shakespeare should arrive today. Bring on the critical essays!

Swop Parcel

Hi Christine
My swop parcel arrived this morning and it was delightful - I hope you took a photo before you sent it, as I would love to add some comments on Zoe's site.(Zoe's knitting bag)
I cannot believe you knitted some of that bookmark on the bus - I havn't mastered socks yet, so I was doubly impressed. THe wool has found a good home - I have one ball of Paton's spirit in a toning colour, so I feel a lacy scarf comming on. Thank You for the book, would you believe I have read most of Virginia Woolf's books apart from this her most famous, so I shall look forward to that, with my new bookmark. My husband says thankyou for the chocolate, which I do have to share with him as it is our favourite kind!
Finally the amazing bracelet, the concept is brilliant (a knitting abacus, which does work - I've tried it)and it is lovely as a piece of jewellery - I've been wearing it today - if this is one of your early attempts, I think you have a lot of potential - I shall keep an eye on how things develop.
Good luck with the driving test - thank you again for all the thought that went into the parcel
take care Amanda

I'm so glad you liked it! Socks are pretty easy really - they're just tubes with short rows in the middle. I'm glad you like the book too.

The concept of the bracelet didn't come from me. There's been a few bouncing around the etsy shops. I just took a guess at how they were made.

I'll put up a pile of pictures in a post in a minute so you can pick out whichever you like and send them to Zoe. I got a bit snap-happy :D

Take care,
Christine.
